History of Shoptech
While working in a job shop themselves back in the late 1970s, Greg Ehemann and Rich Ehemann, the founding partners - and the two Es - of the E2 Shop System, realized between them the great opportunity to improve many aspects of job shop management. They experienced firsthand the need to better coordinate the many facets of running a job shop, from scheduling, routing and inventory, to quoting, billing and accounting. Plying their combined knowledge in computer programming, software development, marketing, and, most important, hands-on job shop experience, the Ehemanns assembled a team to share their know-how with other job shops.
It wasn't long before Shoptech Software Corporation grew to become the largest privately held software provider of shop management systems in North America. Since 1984, Shoptech has helped thousands of shops of all kinds take back control of their shop floor.
Along the way, Shoptech has forged strategic alliances with business partners, garnered recognition in business and shop trade magazines, and gained a reputation as consistently being on the forefront of technological innovations to best serve the many job shop markets. We're truly the authority on shop floor control.
The executive team and the founding partners of the E2 Shop System take great pride in the company's roots in the job shop industry.
