-Eileen Fertal, Diamond Tool
Why did Diamond Tool Choose E2?
Before E2, Diamond Tool was tracking their estimating and job costing in Microsoft Word and their scheduling and accounting was tracked in Microsoft Excel. This was not an effective method for Diamond Tool. Microsoft Word was not a good way to estimate jobs and job costing was way off. Diamond Tool had very little idea of how much time was going into jobs. The need for better organization in the manufacturing process and the ability to access orders quicklybecame clear. And that is when Diamond decided to look at E2.
The Results… So Far
“The E2 Shop System Software helps us manage constant changes that our customers require and helps us manage our shop more efficiently,” said Eileen Fertal of Diamond Tool. “We can now track inventory costs more accurately and it has streamlined our shipping process” added Fertal. All of the information Diamond needs is readily available through E2. Fertal continued “Our routers have also become more sophisticated and have allowed for more detailed tracking of time and costs when we previously were not able to track things as well. We found the software very easy to use and learn, giving us the opportunity to concentrate more on continuous improvement with regard to our manufacturing process.”
